Okay, so Dinner 1 was a Success! :)
I had Ryan and Carrie (my friend for the last 8yrs) be my taste testers..
Caramel Apple Pork Chops
okay, I followed this recipe to the t.. I thought it turned out pretty good. The pork chops however, were a little under seasoned. They needed a slight seasoning prior to cooking.
I give this recipe A
Blue Cheese Potatoes Delmonico
I have to admit, I was a little worried making these. I am not a fan of blue cheese. However they were pretty good, and my husband LOVED them! I even sent a pretty good sized bowl home with Carrie! They needed some minor salting.. I just topped it with a sprinkling of sea salt at the end.. :) * I will say that they also make a very large portion, so if you are a small family, you may want to scale back the recipe.
I give this one an B+And to end with the Fruit Salsa..
It was GREAT! I loved it! I did not use Strawberries, and think that it did lack because of it.. but I used granny smith apples, kiwi's and frozen peaches.. I also used peach preserves. :) It was very yummy!
I'm pretty sure this would be amazing on Vanilla Bean ice cream too! :) Great light dessert.
I give this recipe an A+
So, overall.. We liked all three recipes.. Can't wait to read how Stacy's turned out! :)
We will post Dinner 2 Tomorrow!
Happy Dishes!
Yummy! Glad he got home in time to enjoy your dinner.:)
